Kenya and Israel have had cordial relations since Kenya gained her independence. Kenya re-established diplomatic relations with Israel on 23rd December, 1988. Following the historic visit to Israel in January, 1994 by former President Daniel Arap Moi, Kenya’s first Ambassador to Israel was appointed in March, 1994.

Mission Statement

Our mission as an Embassy is to pursue the interests and values of the Kenyan people, through innovative and effective diplomatic engagement with the State of Israel.

The Vision of the Embassy is to become the epitome of diplomacy abroad, especially in pursuit of Kenya’s national interests in the State of Israel.

Core Functions
Some of the core functions (activities) of the Embassy include but not limited to:
  • Strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Kenya and Israel
  • Promote Kenya’s values and interests
  • Promote Kenya as a trade, investment and tourism destination
  • Facilitate Foreign Direct Investments to Kenya
  • Facilitate, negotiate and implement bilateral agreements
  • Facilitate Overseas Development Assistance to Kenya
  • Engage strategically the Kenyan Diaspora in Israel
  • Provide Protocol services
  • Provide Consular Services

Working hours

Our aim is to keep you informed on various matters pertaining to Consular issues (visas, passports etc), socio-economic and cultural issues and any other relevant information. The Embassy is open to the general public from:

During summer:

Mondays - Thursdays 08:00 A.M - 4:00 P.M
Fridays                       08:00 A.M - 1:00 P.M

During winter:

Mondays – Thursdays 08:00 A.M - 3:30 P.M
Fridays                       08:00 A.M - 1:00 P.M

Note: The Embassy is closed on all Kenyan and Israeli National Days and Public Holidays.  On these occasions a notice will be placed at the main entrance to the Embassy and on the Website at least 24 hours in advance.

Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Israel is located on Zaksenberg Building, 3rd Floor (East Wing) & 4th Floor on 15 Abba Hillel Street/17 Ha-Chilason Street, Ramat Gan.
